[Announcement list for Inland Mendocino Cooperative Weed Management Area]

*July 12* _Russian River Weed Survey in Kayaks_ : Put-in on private
property south of Talmage, pullout at Hopland, 9am to 3pm.. Locations of
/Arundo donax/ (giant reed), /Sesbania punicea/ (scarlet wisteria) and
/Ludwigia hexapetala/ (water primrose-willow) will be mapped.
Difficulty- suitable for kayaking beginners 10 yrs and older. Kayak
rental and instruction is available for a fee TBD. A limited number of
scholarships are available from the IMCWMA for participants willing to
attend a weed identification and GPS training prior to the trip. RSVP

If you THINK you might be interested in the kayak trip, please respond
by June 13th. I need a rough head count so we can determine the cost. To
give you an idea, last year the charge was $75 per person for the kayak
rental. I do encourage you to take advantage of the "scholarship" - the
ID and GPS use are not at all difficult.
