I would like to call a General Inland Mendocino Coast Weed Management
Area meeting sometime during the period of March 12- March 27 to discuss
the next round of CDFA funding, and discussion on the possibility of
including the Lower Russian River watershed in our WMA. Please let me
know your availability in this period. Once I have a date when most
partners can attend, I will announce this to the full mailing list.

The deadline for CDFA proposals is April 7, much earlier than last year.
There are again two pots of funds
Base Funding: each county is eligible for $16,758 (same as last year)
and all that is required is submission of a qualified work plan
Supplemental Funding: competitive state-wide, each county can submit
proposals for up to $50,000 of projects. 50-50 Cost share is required.
Projects span two calendar years (jan 2010 - dec 2011). We were very
successful at getting supplemental funding in the past, but this will
expire at the end of 2009, so we need to apply for follow-up funding for
at least these projects - distaff, gorse and knotweed.

PS. If you don't want to receive IMCWMA Partners emails and need help
unsubscribing or changing to the Announcement list, please contact me-
